Moses at the Red Sea

We all know the magnificent and wonderful story of Moses and his great accomplishments. Just like the freeing of the Israelites slave from the cruel Egyptian Pharaoh, even the way he done it was amazing. Imagine setting 7 plagues into a city just to convince the Pharaoh to let his people go. It was truly a mind blowing feat, like splitting the Red sea so that the Israelites can pass through it.

One of the good things that we like about SPM is the ability of the topics to be related in real life. It never dawned upon me that like the story of Moses, miracles do happen in life, whether it may be biblical in proportions or small things like tissue paper. Thinking about that, although I am catholic, the bible has so many good stories but when you think about it sometimes the stories there are like a fantasy movie all the time. It just then occurred to me that don’t take things to literal in life. It’s not always by the book; sometimes you just have to forget about the theories and just apply what’s practical and right. The things thought in school may be forgotten by the head, but the values we learn from our teacher and professors will never be forgotten by the heart.

Total Quality Management

It is basically all about continuous improvement. The major goal of TQM is attain a six sigma system at having not more than 3.4 defects per million iterations for any business operation or practice – from manufacturing to customer transactions. Six sigma is a quality control tool for promoting tool for promoting operating excellence. One example of a six sigma discipline which is practiced in a business is the commercial airlines. The number of crash per flights is at a 3.4 defects per million. Those are the industries that really need to adopt or embrace the six sigma discipline or else their business would go down. But I think for other manufacturing companies it would be hard for them to adapt this kind of system.

The Eight Components of the Strategy Execution Process

These are the components that you need to execute a strategy. So in order for you to execute your strategy well you must have a good feel of this components because they are essentially important. The eight components contribute to the execution of strategy. It would be hard to execute strategy if one of these components is lacking within the organization.

In SPM we learn many things like for example strategies... their are different strategies for different situations. It is one of the many topics we learn from our SPM like we know that you need to invest big if you are in the High velocity industry. In emerging industries you must be prepared for difficulties in securing raw materials since the market is new that is why their is no such supply of raw materials of your product

I liked the part when you discuss about certain topics that you share with us using a relationship with the real world. For example the part about the strategy of partnership, when you told us that it is just like in real marriage that some has to lead while the other must support or follow... this is my first time to do a blog so pardon me sir for my inconsistent english grammar...
